Devil’s Claw root (Harpagophytum procumbens)
This herb has been used as a specific or arthritis or centuries. The active principles include the iridoid glycoside family: harpagoside, harpagide, and procumbide. One trial reported that Devil’s Claw worked as well as a slow acting anti-arthritic drug, diacerhein in relieving pain.
Pau d’Arco inner bark (Tabebuia impetiginosa)
