Used in Herbal Medicine to relieve the pain associated with menstruation

Dong Quai serves to treat a range of gynecological problems, such as the symptoms of menopause, menstrual cramps, irregular menstrual periods, retarded menstrual flow, and the feelings of physical weakness attendant on menstruation.

Adult Dosage: Take 0.7 ml (21 drops) 3 times daily in a little water on an empty stomach. If the minimum dose is well tolerated and if symptoms have not improved, increase the dose to 1.8 ml (54 drops) three times per day.

Medicinal Ingredients (per 1 ml): Dong Quai (Angelica sinensis, root) 250 mg QCE (1:4)

Non-Medicinal Ingredients: Grain alcohol, Distilled water

Duration of Use: Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 6 months.

Contraindications: Do not use: if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; if you have diarrhea or hemorrhagic diseases; if you have hypermenorrhea/profuse menstrual flow/heavy periods; if you have allergy/hypersensitivity to members of the Apiaceae/Umbelliferae family (anise, caraway, carrot, celery, dill, parsley). Discontinue use and consult a health care practitioner: if menstruation is delayed or absent, or if you experience increased menstrual bleeding time; if you experience breast pain or breast discomfort and/or tenderness.
